Same old location, but under the watchful eyes of my Padawan who came along to see how I do what I do. Funnily enough he took to it like a duck on water and even had a home made orb tool. Felt really cool being asked if they could come along, especially as he travelled a good 30 miles into the Welsh hills to meetup! I felt like Yoda for a few hours lol
On another note, I’ve manged to sell some of my work to an American book publishing company! They approached me last week!!!! How cool is that? Must be doing something right for a change.
Whoops! A little bit blown out with the highlights! I could have used Photoshop to change the levels, but I want to show this expsoure in its raw state as it was captured. The only ‘Photoshopping’ was to resize from the large RAW pic and a watermark.
If I remember rightly I lost track of where I had already been and ended up going around again! It’s given me a very precise orb though! Starting to love these now :)
Here’s the shot which had the better ‘swirly orb’. It wasn’t until I climbed down and looked at the camera when I noticed the lens was fogged up! Still looks cool, but it’d be x10 better if that heavy dew didn’t fall.
This bench sits at the top of Moel Famau, part of the Clwydian Mountain Range in North Wales, UK. It’s one of the most spectacular views over North Wales, on a clear day you can see;
The Isle of Man, Liverpool, Cumbria, Blackpool Tower, The West Wirral coast, Hilbre Island in the River Dee, Irish Sea windfarms including the Burbo offshore windfarm.
I literally lay down in the heather/grass to get this shot after trying all different angles including with my tripod! This one I thought worked best.
